Like you, we have heard God call us toward Himself and to the people He loves. And when God speaks, we must follow.
That’s what we did! We followed the Lord. He led us to NOVO — a band of creative missionaries sent to multiply movements of the gospel and mobilize the church for that mission around the world.
NOVO
Novo is a Latin word that means “to make new”.
The name is a powerful statement about the aim of our partnership with God’s work in the world—the redemption of people everywhere. We long to see men, women, and children made new in the image of Jesus.
The name also describes how we go about this redemptive mission. We are innovators, artists, risk-takers, and catalysts. We believe creativity is critical to sparking and sustaining the gospel movements we long to see.

My Unique Role In NOVO
Since 2006 its been my privilege to serve as the Director of Novo’s reFocusing Team under Novo’s ChurchNEXT Collective. We are a high-capacity ministry team with a collective 150 plus years of congregational leadership experience. We exist to help the church form teams to glory Christ in whole neighborhoods and networks of new disciples of Jesus.
As the reFocusing Team leader, my responsibilities include:
Consulting churches using reFocusing’s processes to mobilize Christians, revitalize churches, and catalyze movements of the gospel
Coaching pastors and church leaders to lead well with courage, equip members for mission in their cities, and form God-honoring character
Leading our team’s development of innovative tools, creative training materials, and effective resources
Representing the reFocusing team to ChurchNext, NOVO, and the greater Christian community and beyond
